  1. John Shivers says:

I first knew Marge in the 1970s when she had her dress shop in Magee and I worked on the Magee Courier in ad sales. Later, after she began working at the library, it was my pleasure to see her each week as I ran the system’s courier route. In more recent years, it was always good to drop in to visit and be greeted by Marge’s trademark warm welcome. She lived and loved her job and the Magee community was better for her. My condolences and prayers to her family during this painful time. Magee Library won’t be the same without her.

  2. Miriam May says:

Melinda and family, including Morley if he’s still around. I appreciated Marge for who she was, a real person who did’t mind being herself. She’s one of God’s special angels for feeding and seeing to all those cats and kittens in the alley. I will miss her and so will the library.

I work for the library system and have for the last 15 years. I have always enjoyed getting to talk to Ms. Marge, whether by phone, at the library or at a meeting. She loved her grandsons, and enjoyed showing off her handsome family. She was a good person, and it showed in the care she took of God’s creatures – from her church family to the stray cats she cared for. I will miss her. She will be remembered and loved by many.
