Joe Rogers Turner passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the age of 84 at Magee General Hospital. He was born on August 21, 1934, to the late Clyde and Girlie Turner in Carthage, Mississippi.
Roger served his country in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a retired truck driver. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Craft Turner; brothers, Colin Turner and Clyde Ray Turner; sisters, Faye Rayfield, Frances Morgan and Joann McMillan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Tutor Funeral Home, Magee, MS from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2018, at New Hope Baptist Church, Mount Olive, MS at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Reverend Jimmy Arender will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
