FRANCES LOUISE "LOU" HOWELL, MAGEE, MS

Frances Louise "Lou" Howell, 69, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2010.Lou, a resident of Magee, served as a school teacher for over twenty five years. She was a talented singer, pianist and artist. She enjoyed gardening, painting, singing in the church choir, traveling, taking part in mission trips, being an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and spending time with her closest friends and family. She was a kind, gentle soul who's face was most always lit with a genuine smile. She never met a stranger and chose to look at the world as a cup, half full. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and she will be deeply missed by us all. Lou, is survived by her husband Rev. L. Glenn Howell; sons: Clifton Sessums of Hattiesburg, Dr. Greg Howell (Amye) of Brookhaven, Philip Howell (Sallie Belle) of Tupelo, David E. Howell of Magee; daughters: Secily Friend (Phil) of Hattiesburg, Mechelle H. Stockett (Cary) of Vicksburg, Julie H. Mealins (Court) of Birmingham; and fourteen grandchildren. Lou is proceeded in death by her parents John R. and Frances Wilson of Greenville, and brother Robert M. Wilson, M.D., of Tupelo. Visitation will be  Tuesday, November 30, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be at the First United Methodist Church in Magee beginning at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 1,  followed by the service at 11:00 am.
