Beverly McGhee Cook, 53, of Magee, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Regency Hospital in Jackson. Beverly was born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 27, 1957, a daughter of Marjorie Anne (Padgett) McGhee and the late Jerry Aubrey McGhee. She taught school in Marion and Simpson Counties, and was also a registerd nurse. In addition to her mother, Marjorie McGhee, Beverly is survived by a son, Ronald Wayne (Nicole) Cook, Jr., and three grandchildren, Eliana, Caden and Journey, all of Fort Myers, FL. Beverly is also survived by two sisters, Rebecca McGhee Ranager, of Southaven, MS; and Elizabeth McGhee Hughes, of Madison, AL. Other survivors include: aunt and uncle, Mary Jean and Bernett Padgett; nephew, Joshua Ranager; and neices, Kelley Ranager, Emily Hughes, and Anna Hughes. Beverly was preceded in death by grandparents: Rev. Barney and Ludie Padgett; and Cecil McGhee and Winnie McGhee Miller. Visitation is Friday, March 11, 2011, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Tutor Funeral Home, Magee.
Religious service will be at Tutor Funeral Home Chapel, Magee, at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2011, with Rev. Kenneth Roberts and Rev. Bill Blair officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Magee.
