Carolyn Phillips Wightman, 67, of Mendenhall, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at her residence.   Carolyn was born in Magee, MS on July 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Saleta (Roach) and Ezra  Shoemaker.  Her survivors include: her husband, Ronnie Wightman; a son, Dwight (Judy) Phillips; brothers, W. C. Shoemaker of Koscuisko and Hollis Shoemaker of Ridgeland; sisters, Virginia McNease and Jean Shoemaker, both of Gautier.  She has five grandchildren and one great grandchild surviving her. Carolyn, a retired homemaker, previously worked at MagnaTek and was a dedicated worker/member at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation is Thursday, August 26, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Tutor Funeral Home, Mendenhall.

Religious service will be at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church, Mendenhall, at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 27,   2010, with Rev. Don Kleeb and Rev. Ken Harrison officiating.   Interment will be in the church cemetery.
