James E. "Jim" Ford departed this life on December 5, 2013. Born in Laurel, MS on December 1, 1953, Jim was a 1972 graduate of RH Watkins High School. Following High School, Jim filled his work life with a varied assortment of careers. Although he worked as an EMT, an oilfield hand, a DEA agent and a military policeman, Jim's passion was working as a private investigator. In every aspect of his life, he advocated on the side of justice.
In his spare time, Jim enjoyed an array of hobbies. His past times included flying airplanes, snake hunting, shooting firearms and researching criminal justice matters.
He is survived by his son, Bo (Charlene) Ford of Hattiesburg; Daughters, Haley (Tim) Patterson of Ellisville, Heather (Jamie) Whatley of Myrick, Ms and Ashley (Jason) Hamm of SoSo; Brother, Joe Ford; Sister, Jaynie (Mack) Harrison of Magee, Eight Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on December 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Magee, MS.
