RUBY JUSTUS, PINOLA, MS

Ruby Justus, 95, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.  Funeral services will be held at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS at 2 pm Thursday, April 26, 2012.  Visitation will precede from noon until service time at 2 pm.  Interment will be at Pinola Cemetery.  Rev. Tray Earnhart will be the officiating minister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Houston Williams and Tina Lee Williams, husband Ward Justus, sister Charlotte Cahill, brother Robert Guy Williams, sister-in-law Velma Williams, brothers-in-law Charles Cahill, Joe Cahill, and John Fillette, in-law niece Nancy Cahill, and great-nephew Robert Lee Williams.

She is survived by sisters Willetta Cahill and Mary Tom Fillette of Pinola, MS; nieces Carolyn (James) Craft of Gluckstadt, MS, Jean (Stan) St. Ores of Colusa, IL, Linda Peters of Oxnard, CA, and Marietta (Mark) Stanton of Flowood, MS; nephews Charles Robert Cahill of Clinton, MS, Gary (Margaret) Cahill of Pinola, MS, Robert Lee (Bobbie) Williams of Colorado Springs, CO, Greg (Joanie) Morlan of Kansas City, MO, Bill (Robin) Bradley of Clinton, MS and Clay (Masami) Bradley of Osaka, Japan.  She is also survived by many, loving great nieces and nephews.

Ruby was born and grew up in Pinola, MS.  She lived in Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska before returning to her home town in 1985.  She had no children of her own, but she loved all the nieces, nephews, their children and cousins.  She was a joy to the family and friends, and created the Happy Thoughts Club for lady friends in Pinola, MS.  She was a member of Pinola Baptist Church, and carried Hershey's Kisses in her purse for the little ones at the church.

She was a resident of the Rose Garden at the Orchard in Ridgeland for seven years and Peach Tree Village in Brandon for twenty-one months.  The family expresses deep appreciation to the staff of both facilities for their loving and excellent care of Ruby.
