Jamsie Magee Boyles, 87, passed away on July 27, 2017, at Simpson General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 5, 1930, to Whaley W. Magee and Eva (Ainsworth) Magee in Magee, MS.
Mrs. Boyles retired from teaching after many years with the Simpson County School District. Later, she was employed at Simpson General Hospital, where she truly enjoyed working.
She has always loved to plant, grow, preserve, cook, eat and share her vegetable harvest each summer. Mrs. Boyles still had a beautiful hot pepper patch on her back patio, which she planted herself this year.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons; Joe Boyles (Linda), Vic Boyles (Florence); brother, Douglas Magee; grandchildren, Stephanie Boyles, Mindy Ballard (Josh) and Brian Boyles.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Boyles; brother, Billy Magee; and twin sister, Joyce Allen.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The service will begin at 11:00 am, at the church, with Bro. Rodney Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Magee City Cemetery.
