He was also an accomplished photographer, having traveled the Rodeo Circuit taking action shots of the participants. He enjoyed traveling around the country on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He kept his brain active by solving difficult crossword puzzles, jumbles and cryptograms.
To everyone who knew him, Herbert was a friendly, outgoing man who truly never met a stranger. He loved to entertain his family and friends with funny stories and jokes. He was always willing and able to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed assistance. One of his greatest joys was attending family gatherings where he could visit with relatives and friends, often contributing his own specialty dishes to the menu. He will be greatly missed and mourned by the wide variety of people who were blessed to call Herbert a friend.
The family is eternally grateful for the care of his very dear friend James Johnson.
