John Hubert Burnham, 79, went to be with Jesus, his Lord, on June 4, 2010, at home surrounded by his family.
He was a lifelong resident of the Mayton community, near Puckett, in Rankin County, Mississippi.  He was a deacon and faithful member of the Union Baptist Church in Mayton.  He was also a member of Gideon International, Puckett Masonic Lodge #621, and veteran of the Korean War.
He was born on November 14, 1930, a son of the late Berta Hales Burnham and Guy Burnham, Sr.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy McMillan Burnham; four daughters: Pam (Sammy) Neely, Debra Tebo, Diana (Mike) Herrington, and Melissa (Tillman) Wadford; five grand children, eight great grand children, four brothers, two sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family of John Hubert Burnham would like to thank their families, friends, and the entire community for their support during this time of grief.  Your kindness will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Union Baptist Church Youth Fund.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 6, 2010, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee; and Monday, June 7, 2010, from 12 noon until 1 pm at Union Baptist Church, Puckett.   Services will follow at 1 pm with interment at the church cemetery.
