Julia Ora Lewis McCall, 96, a retired business co-owner and officer of McCall's Oilfield Service, and homemaker of Magee, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Magee General Hospital. Mrs. McCall was born in Franklin County on November 12, 1913, a daughter of the late Julia Octavia (Lofton) and Cornelius Byrd Lewis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Magee where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by her husband, Felon McCall and an infant son, George Felon. She is survived by a son,Whit and his wife Sherrie, of Magee. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Butch (Judy) McCall, and Beth (Lee) Moore all of Magee; and Mark (Brenda) McCall of Brandon. Mrs. McCall had six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Luna Kelly, of Cumming, GA; and Lou Taylor, of Greensborough, NC. A number of neices and nephews also survive her.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Tutor Funeral Home, Magee, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Religious Service at First Baptist Church, Magee, MS at 11:00 am on Monday, May 17, 2010, with Rev. Buddy Keyes and Rev. Jerry Sullivan officiating. A brief service will also be held at Ramah Baptist Church at McCall Creek, MS at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 17. Interment will be in Ramah Cemetery.
